Prudential Preferred Properties is a full service residential real estate brokerage, serving the Northwest Louisiana area, with offices in Shreveport and Bossier City. Founded in 1969 by Oscar Cloyd, the company operated in Shreveport until Cloyd's death in 1985. Barbara Trice and Shirley Murphy, office manager and administrator respectively, continued operating the company, buying it from the founder's estate the following year. Trice and Murphy operated their company as an independent brokerage until 1991, when they decided to join The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates Inc. In March of 2004 the company opened a Bossier City office and changed the name to Prudential Preferred Properties.
